Nora Asteroid is the DJ project of Swiss-born artist Nora Lune, now based in Copenhagen. Their sets connect the industrial pulse of central Europe with the hypnotic pull of the north, folding percussive techno, trance and experimental textures into patient, long-form mixes. Expect tight 4x4, subtle psychedelia and ambient passages, with close attention to the space between styles—immersive, progressive techno/trance with a touch of groove and psy.
Raised in a Swiss/American classical family and once headed for the piano, they shifted toward video art, filmmaking and experimental sound, studying in Zurich and Basel and spending formative time in Berlin and Copenhagen. A dedicated listener and raver, they draw from Berlin techno, the Scandinavian trance continuum, artists like Laurel Halo, and labels such as R&S and Delsin; an early EP with friends in Berlin hints at a producer path they’re now preparing to revisit. After their violinist mother passed in early 2023, they committed to DJing with a focus on storytelling and collective atmosphere.
They host EUPHONICA on Transition Radio (Fribourg), a bi-monthly show and emerging label dedicated to trance as genre and ritual, carefully curating guests and building connections, with a nomadic format on the horizon.
Recently back in Copenhagen, they’ve played Module, Hangaren and Malmö’s Tenebris Oculum series, alongside DIY and established rooms in Bern, Hamburg and beyond, plus appearances at Hybrida Festival in the Swedish woods and KUNE near Copenhagen. Earlier, they booked acts at Kapitel Bern and Rouine Basel, curated for Radio Bollwerk and supported underground events in Bern. They continue to organize meetups linking DJs, labels and producers, champion FLINTA artists, and create visual content and detailed tracklists that strengthen their local network.
